Mosaic portfolio

I made a career change in 2000 from tapestry to mosaic. Weaving on an upright tapestry loom had a dramatic physical effect on my shoulders, neck and back. The change to mosaic introduced me to a wonderful new medium of mosaic tiles. In tandem I secured a large commission to design a rotunda and a mosaic river for a junior school. The concept was to involve the children attending the school in the design process. The river illustrated river life with images of fish, newts, eels etc. The overall length was 25 metres. I collaborated with Alison Neville and Robbie Bramwell-Jones and, for the rotunda detail, Doug Patterson.

Subsequently my mosaic practice developed and I worked on private commissions and self motivated projects.
